Pomegranates, Color Sketches

The hardest part is turning a quick, fresh and free sketch into a larger drawing.

I did a quick little color sketch that turned out very nicely.

I patiently learned to draw pomegranate leaves.

I mixed a limited color scale, using gamut masking.

And now I'm trying to draw the leaves in the front of the scene that will frame the painting and give the viewer the feeling that she is standing under the trees, in them.
